The latest news from one of the worst airlines in the world, United Airlines, is that travelers will be able to check just one bag starting May 5. The cost for each extra bag will be $25. So much for friendly skies! However, tips gathered from the AARP blog shows that senior tourists know how to make space -- and dollars -- count.
My favorite tips are about underwear.
Tip #1 – Ship your dirty laundry home before your last day to save space
Tip # 2 -- Or simply pack oldest underwear and toss the dirty pieces in the garbage.
Tip #3 – Don’t like to pay for expensive nights in a hotel while in Europe? Take a night train, says Jay G, especially if you have already seen the countryside. (Fine, but do you really get a decent night’s sleep sitting up? Or are you booking a sleeper?)
