Green product expositions are taking their place alongside the Home Shows, Boat Shows, and Car Shows in exposition halls across the U.S.
A variety of nonprofit environmental organizations, as well as for-profit industry and trade show professionals, are producing these events. And they are reaching audiences of thousands over a weekend that includes demonstrations of eco-friendly products and green living practices, as well as presentations by green authors and educators.
For example, Green Festival, which calls itself "the largest sustainability event in the world" is the joint project of Global Exchange and Green America. The first Green Festival took place in 2002, and in 2010 there will be five – two in San Francisco, and one each in Chicago, Seattle, and Washigton, D.C.
